МОЯ ИСТОРИЯ
During a struggling marriage that ended in separation 2000 then divorce 2002, I realized that I had been living my life to be a better man than the next guy. The trouble is... most men dont set a high standard. It was easier to compare myself to the losers, abusers, accusers, and the boozers than to set a higher standard for myself. So I began to read my Bible and pray... I had a great place in the woods to be alone with God. When I read about Jesus and all that He did, I realized that it is better to set the standard high and fail than to set the standard low and succeed. Ive realized that walking through the door of the church, confessing your sins, and giving your life to Christ isnt the end of the journey... it is only the beginning. People in church arent perfect... they just came to realize how imperfect they are... God doesnt love me because Im perfect. He loves me because HE IS perfect. It isnt about rule keeping and religion... it is about relationship. Its about setting God as the priority so that all other things can be in their rightful place. It isnt about being better than the next guy... it is about being better from day to day... we must change... why? Because were not there yet... God isnt finished with us... He has only begun. Thats why God created women... to show us where we could be better men... not by nagging us and beating us into submission but by living lives holy unto God to help us when we fall off the path. We, men, are to be the spiritual leaders in our homes... servant leaders... like Christ Who washed the feet of His disciples. We are to lead by our own example... and if youre following our lead... then when we fail... youll lead by your example.
